Alaska Highway, Company F, 340th Engineers. Born: 10 October 1918. Died: 17 October 1942 at milepost 21, near Morley Lake, Yukon Territory, Canada. The 2nd BN Hqt Morning Report states that he was killed in an auto accident. There is a cairn adjacent to the highway about 19 miles southeast of Teslin. The First Nation’s of Teslin maintain this cairn out of respect for his death and service to his country.
