First Sgt. Tucker completed OCS (Officer Candidate School) and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant. He retired from the Army in 1961 with a rank of Lt. Colonel.
Education: one year college. His father was Saunders Tucker and his mother was Lucy Belle Turkman. He married and after his retirement from the Army he was appointed the Director of Solid Waste Management Administration in Washington, DC.
