Born: 12 May 1912, Vicksburg, Mississippi. Died: 25 July 1959, Los Angeles, CA. Lived East Carroll County, Louisiana. Enlisted: 15 April 1941 and discharged 21 November 1945. Re-enlisted 22 November 1945, Camp Shelby, MS. He was assigned to ERC from 11 January 1947 to 10 January 1950. Education: one year of high school.
Lt. Squires when interviewed talked about him with respect. He could fix anything. He had put in time with older mechanics to learn his job. They would put him at the end of the line because if anything would break or stop running, Sgt Jefferson could fix it.
He worked under Lt. Timberlake, Regimental Transportation Officer and Lt. Rookus, He and MSgt R. Wasp were the two NCO ‘s in charge.
